Brain Teasers
Out of Reach
Riddle
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.Riddle
On the horizon continuously
You'll get ever closer, but never reach me
When one speaks of procrastination
I'm the proverbial destination
Fear and hope arrive at my door
Mortals know not what I have in store
What am I?
You'll get ever closer, but never reach me
When one speaks of procrastination
I'm the proverbial destination
Fear and hope arrive at my door
Mortals know not what I have in store
What am I?
Answer
tomorrowLines 1-2: Since tomorrow refers to a time in the future, it is always "on the horizon." Since tomorrow is in the future, you can get "ever closer" to it, but you can "never reach" it.
Lines 3-4: This refers to the proverb, "Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today."
Lines 5-6: Since we are "mortals", we cannot know what the future has "in store".
