Brain Teasers
Matches: Ten From Three
Take 12 matches, here's how they go:
O O O
They form 3 squares, all in a row.
Just three matches you must remove,
While three more matches you can move.
You started off with three squares here,
But wait, did seven more appear?
The puzzle ends when you have ten.
It is a trick, so let's start then.

Hint
Now, ten squares I did not ask for;I just asked for ten, nothing more.
Answer
You have found the solution whenYour three squares become a word: TEN.
First Square (O -> T):
Remove the bottom and left side.
The right side to the centre slide.
Second Square (O -> E):
Just the match on the right side, please,
Give it a turn: 90 degrees.
Third Square (O -> N):
The top match you can throw away.
Turn the bottom just as I say:
45 degrees clockwise, and then
You slide it up to form the N.
