RobinThe birds are state birds of the United States, arranged by decreasing order of the number of states having that bird as the state bird. Seven states have the Cardinal, six have the Western Meadowlark, five have the Mockingbird, four have either the Bluebird or Mountain Bluebird, three (Wisconsin, Michigan, and Connecticut) have the Robin, two have the Eastern Goldfinch, and one (Maryland, of course) has the Baltimore Oriole as their state birds.
All the other birds listed are the state birds of only one or two states.
