Brain Teasers
The Truck 2
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
A man drove his truck to work and parked under the parking area. He didn't pull up far enough, and part of the truck bed was left out in the rain. Later that day, he went to his truck and shook his head. He couldn't believe his eyes. He then got into the truck, drove up a small bank and waited for about 10 minutes, then backed down, and backed up the small bank. He got out and let the tailgate down. After that, he got back into the truck and pulled back up the small bank again.
Why did the man do this?
Why did the man do this?
Answer
He did this because it was raining hard that day and the space where he parked his truck had a piece of the gutter missing. The rain off the roof went into the bed of his truck, filling it up with water. He went up the bank to drain some of the water out, backed up it to let the tailgate down, and then proceeded to do it again to drain the rest of the water. He did this so he would not get wet trying to get the water out, and it was quick and easy.Hide Answer Show Answer
