Riddle
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.Riddle
Hand in hand I go with society.
Ultimately, I am altruism, amity, and also charity.
Mortals aplenty make me whole.
All of earth is home to my one and only family.
Never have I insulted benevolence or brotherly love for they fit me to a tee.
I fail to live up to the possibilities of individuals,
That was what Ayn Rand once said of me.
Yet, one and many have used me for mockery.
Do you know what I am?

Answer
I am humanity. The poem as a whole serves as an acronym.
The first, second, and fifth lines mention a few words, which are synonymous to humanity.
The third and fourth lines draw attention to the idea of humanity as the whole of mankind.
Ayn Rand once said, "I worship individuals for their highest possibilities as individuals, and I loathe humanity, for its failure to live up to these possibilities."
And the last line refers to the phrase, "Oh, the humanity."
