Why was "Post in backwards order" closed? That is a game, albeit a game that's about a normal discussion thread.

I can't think of anything interesting to put here. Sorry.

It became a spam topic where no one was playing a game. As per forum rules, it was locked.

It is the list of people that are not allowed to challenge you. You can put anyone in the blacklist by writing their username and click blacklist ok.

shutting up or down has the same meaning, why need the up and down? just keep it shut!

I have a HUGE question... and this is also a risk. There seems to be an issue with the seers. A seer can vote along with others, that I know, but the option for the seer to divine, that's trouble. The seer MUST vote in order to divine. This can exploit the seer more easily. Is there a way to change that?

Hello. I was wondering if the Braingle games and Forum games couldn't have different boards, 'cause the topics about Braingle games get really behind the forum games, since people are playing them all the time. Thanks.

Interesting question. IF you think this is a bug, please report it to Jake in the Bug Reports forum. I personally don't think it's an issue, since everyone votes publicly in the Day round, it would be more suspect if the seer didn't vote.

No. They tend to mess up keyboards, and Braingle is a keyboard-safe site.

I'm not sure I understand this question. Are you referring to the Braingle games (Checkers, Food Fight, Werewolf, etc.)? If so, I'm not really sure what you mean by "different boards". They are in different places on the website. If you are asking whether they should be moved to different websites, I would say no, but go ahead an ask Jake if you want. Personally, I don't see any advantage in splitting up Braingle like that... Thanks for asking.

But sometime only seer is left with the wolf and other inactives. Or maybe the group has decided not to vote that round, and thus the people have no votes, but the seer MUST vote to have a divination...

i think that is a problem...

EVERYONE wants to get it right, so they wait for the first person (who they think is the seer) to vote. most of the time not, but in almost every werewolf game i played, everyone agreed with the first person, then that person gets eaten!

ok, i'm not a mod, i'm just saying that MAY be a problem...

For one thing, it's poor strategy not to vote, as the wolves get a free kill with nothing for the humans to go on. Also, if the Seer made it a habit to simply divine without worrying too much about voting, he would probably get killed fast as an inactive anyway. Considering that the only way for a Seer to reveal who the wolves are is to put himself on the chopping block (Note: It is against the rules to have outside conversations about the game, so the only valid way for a Seer to expose the wolves is by out-flat declaring himself to be the Seer and naming the divined wolves), there is no real advantage to not having to make a public Day vote before divining.

If you disagree, please feel free to discuss it with Jake in the "Bug Reports & Feature Requests" forum. Thanks!

why would you reveal yourself as the seer? as soon as you do every wolf will be pourin' salt on ya! (A.K.A: voting for you to be eaten )

i stopped playing werewolf games cause i was afraid i would be the seer, cause i'm not good at keeping secrets...

The point I was trying to make is that a Seer is essentially useless if he does not reveal to the other players who are the wolves that he has divined. Especially if the Seer is fortunate enough to divine all the wolves, there should be no hesitation for the Seer to reveal himself and expose the wolves. Sure you die, but you take the wolves down with you.

I want to make clear that Public Forum moderators have no ability to change the rules or mechanics of any of the Braingle Games. Jake made and maintains those. Please post about your problem in the Bug Reports and Feature Requests topic, and do not continue to debate here. This is not a debate topic, but rather a topic to ask Game Forum Moderators question about games and/or to report games that are inappropriate for Braingle or duplicates of other games.

Too keep the clutter in this topic down, any further comments about the Seer issue will be deleted. Thanks for your understanding.

Sounds okay to me, as long as the rules are clearly defined and followed, and there are no inappropriate words (keep it PG).
