You do know Snappy, that disliking one team with the name of the Eagles shouldn't make you dislike another one. Sort of a bias voting system there classifying all with the name Eagles as the same! Lesson in life here, though I am sure you do not need it, but I had to laugh a bit when I read your reason for wanting the Patriots to win! God bless you!

Yes I know you are absolutely right....I base my dislike on the fact that this Eagles team [the one over here] is full of drug cheats and users [one actually died from an OD!] yet they love them here and even have a medal to honour the guy who OD'd...[because he played well when he was in the team] GRRR...they won 3 grand finals in a row [whilst the team was into drugs] and the hierarchy turns their head,,,,
now MY team,,..are the Magpies. When another team joined the league and they also had a magpie as their emblem the new team had to change the Magpie emblem to avoid confusion - my team kept the Magpie emblem due to the age of the team [since 1982] and the new team had to find another emblem. But I still like the other team...

At our daily 10 am supervisors meeting, the plant director said that he heard most of the service personnel were in the break rooms. He sort of repeated what I had said, "Just make sure they respond quickly to trouble calls today, but I will not walk the floors to make them feel uncomfortable".
That is where I was, how about you? Hard to forget... and frankly, I do not want to.

I was getting ready to go to work. The news media was replaying the first plane hit and insistently they show the second plane coming in, then hitting the other tower. Then as I was watching the First Tower Collapsed. Before I could shut the TV off The Second Tower Collapsed. Yes I was late to work and the Boss was saying how a plane had hit the first tower, I interrupted and said "there was a second plane that hit the other tower and both had collapsed". He went in and turned on the TV which the news media was replaying everything, from the first tower, the second tower, the Pentagon, and to the people taking over a plane to crashing it in a field. Needless to say we only got about a half days work done.
After helping him I went to my other job and immediately was pulled in to the dean's office and was instructed that any student that was upset by today's tragic affects could go home and attendance would not be taken.
Yes I remember September 11, 2001 Quite well. Prayers and well wishes to all who perished, their families, those who helped, and to the troops who fought afterwards. God Bless the USA!

Yes I remember September 11, 2001 Quite well. Prayers and well wishes to all who perished, their families, those who helped, and to the troops who fought afterwards. God Bless the USA!

I was at home getting the kids up and ready for the day. Sgt had just left for work when I saw the news and the destruction going on. Within less than 20 mins, Sgt was back home and changing into his military uniform (he was part time Air Guard by then) and was off to the AF base in Fresno where he remained after his status changed back to full time AF for over 5 years.
I will never forget the devastation, anger, sorrow, and so many other emotions as I watched in horror as the tragic events continued to unfold. Such tragic and unnecessary loss of so many lives taken by those in the buildings and planes as well as the responders. Sadly the repercussions of that day still continue for the families of those lost as well as those still being lost due to deaths attributed to the cancer causing dust/debris.
A very sad day in history that will never be forgotten...
