Ask a Quizmaster (cont'd)
As the other topic has reached it's max, here is a new one. Moderator? Please make this a sticky, if you would.

Thanks for opening the new thread.
I would like to raise the question asked by JQPublic in the last post on the closed thread. That is, would it help to eliminate the categories for QMs until the numbers build back up? If this would help reduce the backlog, and the current QMs wouldn't mind, it seems like a helpful solution.

I have read the FAQ and most other help topics in the Forums, and elsewhere, on the site. Can't find an answer to this question.
I'm currently preparing a quiz for submission. It's turned into a long quiz of eighteen questions. I'd love to make it into two quizzes for efficiency sake. But here is my problem: I've already had four quizzes accepted for the site. So, is this the last quiz I can submit? I see the rules say that non-subscribers to this site can only submit five quizzes total; or is it that only five can be in process for submission at once?
Which is it please? Five quizzes total per creator, or five only in process at one time, with unlimited submissions possible?
Thanks so much for answering.
That's five in process at the same time. Please submit all you like!

THANK you!
Now, how do I get paid for doing this -- I'm kidding, of course.

Please make this better known in the Quiz rules or suggestions? I'm an intelligent person, and those rules are difficult to de-mystify.

I don't want to sound like I only want to get my correction approved, but why is Completely Random Historical Tidbits fine in ancient? Surely the 1500s aren't ancient?

Just realized that my Letterman quiz has 2 typos! Returned it a little while ago, and only noticed it now.
Thanks.

If there are no replies to my question for another week I shall protest the rejection (hopefully it doesn't get rejected! I'd feel for my quiz correcter grade.)

I'd say most (at least seven) of the questions in that quiz deal with "ancient" history, so it is perfectly fine as it is. Only one question mentions the 1500s. Don't protest it, because it most likely will be rejected again.

Resubmitted my Batman II quiz, and just realized I got an answer fact wrong.
The info is in question #6. Thanks.

Hey Jfletcher, what is the issue in question with #6? You still have one submission left, so we can get this fixed. What is factually incorrect with #6?

The movie that Eli Wallach was in with Clint Eastwood is "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" - not the other movie I included. The movie name is quoted here, with commas exactly, as it is listed in the IMDB. Please say if you wish me to add another comma after "bad".
Thanks for the quick response!

On this quiz, I made a correction, saying that the answers to questions 2 and 4 were given away in question 6. It was rejected.
I protested it, but they said I was wrong again.
But I know I'm right! Can anyone please explain?
He who is tired of Weird Al is tired of life.

Essentially, those answers are only given away if you already know them. It's not overtly obvious.
For example: #6 just mentions the huntsman, it doesn't say what he's done, so it doesn't reveal #2.
While you may feel the answers are overtly given away, the QMs did not agree.

I've discovered two small errors in my Women in Television quiz, the original. I hope it will be returned to me so I can make these corrections before publication.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Hi Jfletcher, Can you let us know what the errors are?

Quiz was returned to me, so I took care of them last night.
thanks for reply.

Is there a way to know which quizmaster review your quiz?
Not for certain, no. Though if you have an issue with a request, you can certainly ask here, and hopefully, the QM will recall their words and idenfify themselves. If you found a comment to be rude, you are also able to report it.

In the first Ask A Quizmaster topic, I asked this question:
I got this response back:
May I ask what the 'larger problem' is? When can we expect the correction to be made?

In the quiz called 'Unique Marine Creatures', I made a correction that got accepted. But when I looked, the correction wasn't there! The correction, if you must know, is that I protested the lungfish being mentioned in a quiz about sea creatures when, in fact, it lives in freshwater.
I got this response back:
There are other similar corrections needed on that quiz. The nature QMs are working on a correction that will solve the larger problem with this quiz. It is currently processing. We awarded you the correction because you are correct, however, we did not feel it was appropriate to delete an entire question, which is the only way to correct that question by itself.
