Ask a Quizmaster (cont'd)
Is the thing about a comma before "and" in a list, such as
helium, neon, and argon
not
helium, neon and argon
a little pedantic if you don't mind me asking? I've had quizzes returned JUST for that and is it really worth waiting 2 months to have it returned for something nbody will even notice? It's not a major grammar error or anything

Anyone who submits a quiz needs to follow the Quiz Making Guidelines:
The QuizMasters don't pick and choose which rules to follow; we ensure quizzes follow all the guidelines.
There are two kinds of people. Do you spread happiness WHEREver you go or WHENever you go?
Use commas to separate three or more words or phrases written in a series. Don't forget the last comma before the conjunction; it isn't optional. "I like grapes, apples, and oranges."

Quizmaster selection:
Before was was was, was was is.
You must have a Quiz Creator Grade and Quiz Corrector Grade of at least a B.
What is a quiz corrector grade?
Before was was was, was was is.
When you see errors in a quiz, you can correct them as follows:
After you take a quiz, there is a "Problems?" link after each question.
There is also a "Problems with Title or Category?" link at the top of the quiz.
Depending on whether your correct was valid or not, you get a grade.

Thanks! this is new information for me.

So, I'm attempting to make a quiz about the video game Myst. I started it in about June, and I had to go through several drafts. Most of the problems were something like "all video game titles must be in quotes," so I corrected them. It took about a month to get it back each time, and during that time another quiz was published about Myst. I started mine first, and it's fine that the second one was made (hey, more publicity for the game!), and I don't have a problem with it being published first—it had less mistakes, and that's just how the process works. Nothing wrong with that.
My problem is that because that one got approved quicker, I'm no longer allowed to include some of my questions. Specifically, "Who created the game 'Myst'?" The feedback on this was, "1) This question has already been asked in another quiz. Please make up a new question. You asked this question in the first "Myst" quiz." I really don't want to be rude, but from the wording it sounds like I made the other quiz (which I didn't), and I really don't believe that I should have to adjust my questions simply because the creator of the other quiz put their video game titles in quotes.
I have followed the process exactly, I have been patient, and I am attempting to continue being patient, since I understand the job of the Quizmasters is difficult. However, I made mine first, I've worked on it a long time, and now I have to change my work all because I messed up on the punctuation format in Braingle.

I'd like to follow up on my last post since it's been over a week with no answer. If still nobody answers, I might just return my quiz as-is without changing a thing, and that wouldn't be helpful to anyone.

I agree that two quizzes in development at the same time by two different people shouldn't have to worry about duplicating questions. I will accept your quiz without you having to choose new questions.

Thanks so much! I'll send it back in
